Mrs. Kaduce: Language Arts

Homework: Book Lists

Home | The Class | The Program | Parents | Homework | Important Dates

Homework is an integral part of becoming a successful student.  Therefore, my students will be expected to not only read every day in class, but they must also read at home for at least 30 minutes.  The school district holds the goal that every student will read a minimum of 25 books a year.  I am encouraging my students to read 30 or more books this year.

To help in the endeavor, I am providing a book list here of acceptable titles.  Lexile levels are given, so students can choose a book at their independent reading level.  Any book a student reads that is in his/her frustration level must be preapproved by Mrs. Kaduce and also be followed by a post conference.  Students must keep daily logs of what they read and complete a book report when they finish each book.
